ABBOTT & KINDERMANN, LLP
Abbott & Kindermann, LLP, provides a broad spectrum of services
for private and public clients in the areas of land use law and
municipal law, environmental law, and real estate.
The firm has extensive experience with a variety of private clients
and public agencies throughout California. These include numerous
cities and counties throughout California for whom both counseling
and litigation services are provided. This relationship with local
governments, along with state and federal government dealings on
behalf of certain private clients, provides a unique insight into
administrative and legislative operations.
Areas of specialization include state and local planning and zoning
laws, the Subdivision Map Act, the California Environmental Quality
Act, general plans, development agreements, exactions and dedications,
assessment district formation and financing, and local ordinance
compliance.
In the area of Environmental Law, the firm offers counseling, permitting,
and litigation services with respect to the full breadth of environmental
issues, including Federal and State Endangered Species Acts, wetlands,
water and mineral rights, water quality, CEQA, NEPA and hazardous
waste matters, including CERCLA. The firm routinely becomes involved
with the review, analysis and defense of Environmental Impact Reports.
Abbott & Kindermann, LLP is also a firm that has demonstrated
a commitment to its community. For many years, Abbott & Kinderman
have demonstrated leadership within the legal community through
its generous support of the GDS High School Law Education Program
and other components of the Law Works Partnership. This leadership
has been evidenced not only through the firms recurring commitment
of financial support, but also through the invaluable “people”
support provided by the firm’s lawyers that have contributed
many hours of volunteer service – as coaches and judges –
directly to our youth and schools.
