Reaching Resolution

Reaching Resolution is a conflict education and service partnership that teaches youth valuable skills in the areas of communication, conflict resolution, and leadership. These essential skill sets support students’ academic achievement and leadership development, and prepare students to resolve disputes using peaceful, positive alternatives. Student mediators reduce violence, de-escalate conflict, resolve problems, and practice good citizenship in their schools and communities. Since 1989, CYC has trained hundreds of schools throughout the state through the California Conflict Resolution and Youth Mediation Program, conducted in partnership with the California Department of Education and Office of the Attorney General.
