Leadership Development
Character education offers an opportunity for staff,
parents and students to take leadership roles, and all should be
offered opportunities to expand their leadership skills. Free to
Learn places an extra emphasis on training school staff to be character
education leaders. For character education to be successful, all
staff members must take a leadership role, recognizing that one
of the most successful ways to teach character is to model it for
students. Character education and leadership will not come naturally
to all staff members. In order to ensure successful project implementation,
the staff will all need character education training.
