The CPCE Approach Free to Learn is a “whole
school” character education model; it is not an add-on program
where character education is taught as separate subject, but rather
approaches character education as something that should be integrated
into all aspects of a school, including classroom curriculum, school
climate, and discipline and behavioral expectations. In order to
ensure this whole-school approach, Free to Learn emphasizes six
critical components:
Plan and Structure
School Climate and
Culture Leadership
Development Curriculum
and Instruction Outreach
and Connections Assessment
and Accountability
